Champions’ Night on the Town is a bi-monthly school year program that helps to promote social inclusion and participation by hosting events in the community. These events are for ages 15 and up and cost $20 per participant per event. This covers the cost of a meal and activity cost. *registration before the event is required*
Free bi-monthly SOARly Needed R&R (Respite) nights for families with individuals with disabilities. They also have a simultaneous sibling program for siblings from birth to 13-years old. Each evening has a special theme to it.
The Embraced program offers an inclusive environment during their weekly services to help meet each person’s needs. Their staff works with families to develop a plan that will work for them. They also have “Shepherds” (trained leaders) who help to provide assistance. This program is open to all ages, services are Sundays 9 and 10:45 AM. They also offer parent support nights each month and focus on different topics.
Britain Development is an important outreach program of AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, touching the lives of more than 4,000 children with special needs since 1972. Dedicated to serving children with special needs from birth through six years of age, Britain Development provides a unique program that involves family and friends in the process of therapeutic treatment and education.
KC Art Angels is a not for profit gallery and studio offering classes daily for adults and youth and unique services. They strive to revitalize the arts in the community through workshops for all ages and provide outreach programs for people to freely create a nonjudgmental environment. Their overall goal is to bring healing through art by offering reduced or free classes to those with disabilities, grieving, or terminal illness. They believe in sharing beauty with the world through art.
Grace Church offers a specialized ministry aimed to allow all people to come, feel welcomed, grow to know Jesus and help them to grow in that relationship. They offer one-on-one buddies for every service and have different classrooms to best fit all who come. They also special adult classes for their older guests at certain times. On Wednesday, they offer a youth group for grades 6th-12th!
ABS is an organization that offers ABA therapies for children on the Autism Spectrum, behavioral issues, developmental delays, or other special needs that may be keeping them from reaching their full potential. Their biggest goal is to provide effective and comprehensive behavioral services to meet the needs and improve the overall quality of life for those individuals they serve.

These classes meet at Faith Journey Church of the Nazarene, in Olathe, on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays. These classes offer a fun hands-on experience for students to interact with other children their age and to work on social skills. They use the Me and My World Social Skills Game Boards and Curriculum to address social situations that students can understand. They specialize in working with children with Tourette, OCD, Anxiety, High Functioning Autism, and ADHD. They do have sessions that are aimed at high school students and young adults. Classes are $40.00 each session.
